Legendary tenor Plácido Domingo partners with the “global ambassador of Spanish guitar” (Billboard Magazine), Pablo Sainz Villegas, on their new collaboration Volver, an intimate album that features a great selection of Iberian and Latin-American songs. After an impromptu performance together at a benefit concert in 2016, the pair knew that they had a special chemistry and the idea of doing an album was born. With arrangements by twelve-time Grammy Award winner Rafa Sardina, the album features Spanish coplas, nostalgic fados and Mexican boleros. Songs include Violeta Parras’ “Gracias la vida,” which was inducted into the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame, “Volver” by Alfredo Le Pera and Carlos Gardel, and Álvaro Carrillo’s immensely successful “Sabor a mi.”
