Musical Notes Fan
This hand-held fan features a stylized black on white design with a staff and musical notes. Providing a breath of fresh air on hot days, the fan measures 15” wide x 8.5” high when open. It is made with a bamboo frame and polyester fabric, and the handle features a luxurious black tassel. Also included is a lined fabric storage sleeve in a coordinating design. The closed fan fits in most purses.
The colorful, floral fan is a lovely gift or keepsake reminiscent of the fans and costumes seen on stage in the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

Music Notes
Most Western music is based on a system of notation that evolved around 1600 out of earlier practices. The starting point for any opera is the full score, which contains all individual voices and instruments arranged in a specific order on the page. The written music—representing the sounds a composer creates in his head—then comes to life performed by singers onstage and played by the orchestra.
