Framed Photo, Isabeau Postcard & Signed Note from Pietro Mascagni
This exquisite frame includes a striking black and white photograph of Italian composer Pietro Mascagni dated 1914, a beautiful color postcard commemorating the June 2, 1911 premiere performance of his opera Isabeau in Buenos Aires (which he also conducted), and a signed note to Rosina Lolli, the sister of his mistress Anna Lolli. The note is written in Italian and translates to:
“To my dear and great Rosina Lolli, in memory of the first performance of Isabeau in Buenos Aires.”
The postcard is postmarked July 5, 1911, from Buenos Aires.
