Mark Podwal, American, b. 1945
Mark Podwal was intitially known for his drawings on The New York Times Op-Ed page.  In addition, he is the author and illustrator of numerous books - many of which focus of Jewish legend, history, and tradition.  His art is represented in prestigious collections the world over, and he regularly creates works inspired by operas in the Metropolitan Opera`s repertory.
