Description
Upright Piano Glass Ornament - Gold
Bartolomeo Cristofori of Padua, Italy, invented the piano in the early 18th century; Mozart & others composed masterworks on the pianoforte. John Isaac Hawkins, an Englishman who lived in the United States in about 1800 and was an important piano maker in Philadelphia, is credited with the design of the upright piano.
Each figurative glass ornament is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800s. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.

History
Music Notes
Most Western music is based on a system of notation that evolved around 1600 out of earlier practices. The starting point for any opera is the full score, which contains all individual voices and instruments arranged in a specific order on the page. The written music—representing the sounds a composer creates in his head—then comes to life performed by singers onstage and played by the orchestra.
