Toothy Donkey Plush Toy

Gorgeously goofy!

Toothy Donkey has a lot to smile about. He's got the best teeth of all his donkey friends! He's a merry mule who loves a good giggle, and that soft grey-blue fur means he gets all the bedtime cuddles. Be sure to stroke his lovely black mane, and scratch his splendid sticky-up ears. He's ee-awwwesome!

Animals in the Opera

From Aida to Carmen, from Die Zauberflöte to the Ring cycle—animals both real and imaginary have been seen on the operatic stage for centuries. Horses, donkeys, bears, elephants, birds, dragons, and many others are featured as minor, and sometimes major, characters in operas performed all over the world. At the Met, horses have graced the stage in La Fanciulla del West, among others, a mule appeared in Pagliacci, and a pair of Irish Wolfhounds starred in Lucia di Lammermoor. Most recently, audience favorite Sir Gabriel the Donkey was seen in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and La Bohème.
