This stunning necklace features authentic Sputnik crystals surrounded by yellow citrine beads, clear oblong Swarovski crystals and silver twirled beads. The interlocking closure is sterling silver, and the necklace is 28” long.
Handmade in the USA exclusively for the Metropolitan Opera, the Sputnik crystals were taken from one of the Met’s famous chandeliers when the house was refurbished in 2008.

Sputniks
The Metropolitan Opera’s starburst chandeliers have been a beloved fixture of the opera house at Lincoln Center since it opened in 1966. Dubbed “sputniks” after the Russian spacecraft, they reflect light brilliantly through clusters of Swarovski crystals.
