Sputnik Crystal Ornament With Small Facets, Charm & Black Velvet Bag (3” W x 1” D)

Our exquisite crystal ornament is hand-crafted from a vintage Swarovski crystal original the Sputnik chandeliers given to the Met upon its opening in 1966 by the Austrian government.

Historically significant icons of the Metropolitan Opera House, the chandeliers were conceived by Tad Lbeski of Harrison & Abramovitz specifically for the lobby and auditorium then developed further and fabricated by Hans Harald Rath of J. & L. Lobmeyr of Vienna.

Each dazzling round-cut crystal in this collection has small facets and measures 3” wide x 1” deep with a 1” diameter center opening. A sheer gold ribbon is attached through the center for hanging.

This is a rare, one-of-a-kind, collectable piece from our exclusive collection. A gold-finished tag embossed with the Met Opera Shop logo certifies that each crystal ornament is genuine.

Presented in a sumptuous black velvet draw-string bag for protection and gift-giving.

This stunning crystal ornament can be admired during the holiday season and year round as a memento of the Met.

We hand select each crystal to ensure it meets our standards for beauty, quality and authenticity. As with any vintage piece, it may show natural wear from use over time.
