Rare, fantastic black and white photograph taken at Lily Pons’ house on the occasion of her birthday party, circa 1953. Numerous famous Met Opera singers pose jovially on the staircase, and the photo is autographed by sopranos Pons, Licia Albanese and Roberta Peters, and bass Robert Merrill.
An almost complete set of names is included on a separate sheet.
The photo is double-matted with red and dark blue conservation mats. It is framed in gold with UV-protective glass.
