Odette Ostich Pluch Toy

She’s one ossome bird!

A rather splendiferous quirky bird, Odette Ostrich is a superstar! Her silky feathers are wonderfully funky in gorgeously dusty pink tones, and those squidgy long legs with their fluffy grey fur help her run really fast! This leggy lady may be glam, but she still loves a snuggle with her number one fan.

Animals in the Opera

From Aida to Carmen, from Die Zauberflöte to the Ring cycle—animals both real and imaginary have been seen on the operatic stage for centuries. Horses, donkeys, bears, elephants, birds, dragons, and many others are featured as minor, and sometimes major, characters in operas performed all over the world. At the Met, horses have graced the stage in La Fanciulla del West, among others, a mule appeared in Pagliacci, and a pair of Irish Wolfhounds starred in Lucia di Lammermoor. Most recently, audience favorite Sir Gabriel the Donkey was seen in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and La Bohème.
