Golden Slumbers Room Blessing

Golden Slumbers Kiss Your Eyes, Smiles awake you when you rise, Sleep pretty darling do not cry, and I will sing a lullaby... Thomas Dekker, 1572-1632

A wonderful new baby gift.

Adapted from the wonderful tradition of Mezuzah and Mezuzah covers, in which a blessing is placed on each doorpost and gate of a home. While the traditional Jewish Mezuzah requires a small parchment inscribed with specific prayers, our piece serves as a reminder of our many blessings and have a space to keep a prayer scroll or special note in the back if desired (attach with screws if using scroll). To hang on the wall, by a light switch, on a door jamb, over a bed, anywhere a special blessing is appreciated.

  • Gift boxed with hanging ribbon, and a descriptive story/instruction card.
  • 1 1/4 wide x 5" high

Music Notes

Most Western music is based on a system of notation that evolved around 1600 out of earlier practices. The starting point for any opera is the full score, which contains all individual voices and instruments arranged in a specific order on the page. The written music—representing the sounds a composer creates in his head—then comes to life performed by singers onstage and played by the orchestra.
