Description

Garden Rose Soap Petals in Cherry Blossom Scent

A handmade, creamy, light pink soap flower inspired by a romantic walk down a cherry blossom-filled path.

The rose design has 35 or more hand-cut, hand-pieced petals. Use one petal for an average of 10 hand washes, bathing, shaving, as a guest soap or a travel soap. The creamy petals moisturize while cleansing. Using a single hand-pieced petal means that the rest of your flower stays together for the next experience.

Fragrance is phthalate-free, featuring cherry blossom with hints of sparkling lemon and orange, cotton, vanilla, and musk. Store at room temperature.

Reminiscent of flowers and floral icons featured in numerous Metropolitan Opera productions.

Ingredients:
Saponified vegetable oils (mainly coconut oil), glycerin (kosher, vegetable origin), shea butter, goat’s milk, purified water, sorbitol (from berries), sorbitan oleate (from vegetable source), soybean protein, titanium dioxide (mineral whitener), fragrance, color

  • Approx. 35 individual soap petals
  • 5” W x 3” H

History

The Hours

World premiere: Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia, March 2022 (concert version, performed by The Philadelphia Orchestra); Metropolitan Opera House, New York, November 2022 (staged production)

A compelling new opera about three women in different times and places, The Hours is based on the Pulitzer Prize–winning novel by Michael Cunningham and the Academy Award–winning film adaptation that followed. Both the book and the film make heavy reference to an earlier novel, Virginia Woolf’s 1925 Mrs. Dalloway, which forms a sort of parallel background narrative, and the opera uses Woolf’s and Cunningham’s magisterial prose as a departure point from which to explore ambiguities and fluidities that cry out for musical expression.
