Elizabethan Lapis Lazuli Earrings

Made from lapis lazuli, gold-finished pewter and epoxy these splendid earrings are reproductions of a pair discovered in a wooden casket beneath Cheapside Street in London where they had lay undisturbed for nearly 300 years. They are designed with lobster claw closures and measure  2 ½” long.

The originals date back to the Elizabethan era when the Met’s ornate production of Gaetano Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux is set.
