Cosi fan tutte contains some of Mozart`s most sublime music. On one level, the opera is purely a social anecdote about young people fating in and out of love; but Mozart was supreme sensualist and a great humanist, and invested the take with at his understanding of humanity and young love.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Così fan tutte

Mozart’s third and final collaboration with librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte premiered in 1790. For much of the 19th and early 20th centuries, this comedy about testing the ties of young love was rarely seen on stage, its plot being considered “immoral.” Today it is among the most beloved operas in the repertoire.
