great performance of a great opera
over the years I've seen many productions of Peter Grimes, but none have been as powerful as this one. The casting is impeccable - every character is clearly developed and impeccably sung. the set forces the production to focuson the character - it doesn't distract from the story. the orchestra and chorus have vecer been vetter, If you ate looking for an almost perfect production of an opera, especially this opera, you couldn't do better than this dvd
