Vigilate! (Be watchful!) conveys the clandestine character of music composed in Elizabethan England by ‘undercover’ Catholic composers of the time, who continued to create devout and imaginative compositions during difficult times.

This album, recorded in London in 2012, brings together the work of six English composers whose combined careers span more than a century – William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, Thomas Morley, Peter Philips, Robert White and Thomas Tomkins.
