Marilyn Horne: The Song Continues
by Marilyn Horne with Jane Scovell

This is the rewritten autobiography, updated with new material covering later years, and includes a CD of live recordings chosen by Horne herself.  We are taken backstage, with fascinating glimpses of La Scala and the Met, brutally honest depictions of her struggles with luminaries, and revelations about the great diva’s amours.

The book will be indispensable to opera aficionados for its pictures and CD alone, but will also be of general interest as a look at a woman who reached the peak of her profession while being a wife and mother, and who is completely open and honest about her successes and failures, at home and at the opera house.

“This is quite a book, a gutsy, earthy, direct, passionate testament of an artist’s love for her art and her life.” -- Schuyler Chapin, former Gen. Mgr., The Metropolitan Opera
